Velocity - How to configure the LDAP User Search Filter field for a corporate LDAP server?

Objective/Summary
In this article you will learn how to configure a LDAP server on Velocity.
Environment/Versions
Spirent Velocity
Procedure
This search string needs to return a single user.
The statement about 'should be a uid= or sAMAccountName= ' will depend on the particular directory in use and how you want users to log in.
For example, if using active directory, and users are going to log in using just their userid, then sAMAccountName is appropriate. If users are going to log in using their primary email address, you would specify 'mail= ' instead. It's all up to the particular directory and how the admin wants it to behave. The " " is replaced with whatever is entered into the Username field during Velocity login process.
