STANDALONE SYSTEM and MULTIBOX SYSTEM (with individual outputs)

• The rear panel MON/CAL port is numbered to match the front panel RF port, i.e. MON/CAL1 corresponds to RF1
  • Where no numbering exists then only one RF and MON/CAL port is present anyway
• For all simulator models, the signals that apply to the RF port are also present at the matching MON/CAL port

MULTIBOX SYSTEM (with combined outputs)

• The MON/CAL port on each individual simulator works just like the standalone situation explained above
• Systems which use an MCU to combine RF signals
  • The MCU has a rear panel high level port called "GNSS OUTPUT" which acts like a MON/CAL port and will include ALL signals from ALL simulators in the system
• Systems where signals are combined within one of the simulators in the system
  • The unit acting as the combiner DOES NOT include the signals from the other units at its MON/CAL port
  • Combined signals are only provided at the combining unit's RF port
  • For example
    • An [STR4780 (Master) + STR4760 (Aux)] or [STR4780 (Master) + GSS7700 (Aux)] --> the combined signals are only presented at the Master unit front panel RF port
    • A dualbox GSS6700 [GPS/GAL (Master) + BeiDou (Aux)] --> the combined signals are only presented at the Aux unit front panel RF port
  • If combined signals are needed at a higher signal level, similar to the MON/CAL port level, consider using an LNA on the RF port
