Description   Landslide 17.8 is now available for download on the Spirent customer support website. As NEMs and Carriers continue their fast track towards deploying the first commercial 5G SA network, the correct adoption of existing and new services over this network becomes critical: concepts such as slicing, MEC, IPv6 Multi-homing, break-out points … are being introduced to guarantee optimal QoE, but at the cost of significantly increasing network’s complexity. To aid in this tremendous effort, release 17.8 continues Landslide’s strategic feature set alignment by (1) adding SMS service over 5G (over NAS and over IMS), (2) enhancing VoNR and Data sessions testing capabilities and (3) introducing N9 interface support for break-out point and anchor testing. Furthermore, Landslide 17.8 continues to expand its feature set in other key areas of mobile network testing: Landslide 17.8 introduces the first to market CBRS test modem for OTA testing of Band 48. Finally, testing and emulation of IMS receives an upgrade in 17.8 with the support for 5G SMS.
