Answer In order to get the license you need to generate a license request file on the same machine you want to run the Threat Designer on. To do this, complete the following steps:  - navigate to the C:\Program Files\Spirent Communications\Spirent TestCenter [version]\Layer 4-7 Application\threatex\license directory    - double click on the LicenseManager application    - in the window that opens choose License>Generate License and generate the License request file.    - email this file to Spirent Technical Support (support@spirent.com) requesting a knowledge base license.    - Once you have the license from Spirent Technical Support open the LicenseManager application as you did above but this time choose License>Install License and follow the prompts.    - Once the license is installed you can now access the Avalanche Attack Designer from the start menu Start>All Programs>Spirent Communications>Spirent TestCenter [version]\Avalanche Attack Designer.
