Anue: How do I propagate a link loss on oneside of the GEM to the other side?
Answer
LOS is not propagated to the other device in GEM mode. In DG and FC modes there is a squelch mode that will do that.
You might be able to achieve this goal in GEM mode via Tcl.
Attached is a tcl script for a similar scenario.
It checks the Rx LOS alarm on blade 1. If it is red, it will set LOS on the other blade. Then it will monitor blade 1 till the LOS alarm is no longer red and set blade 1 back to normal.
You can take the script and set it up in a while loop or make other changes for your environment.
