8100 Radio Access: When testing with at&t 16815 Call reliability suite, all IRAT, SHO and Inter-frequency test cases fail

Answer

RF cabling as possible cause:

  1. Verify that your test system is cabled correctly by following the Rack Setup Guide pdf accessible through the Test Manager's help menu
  2. For A304/A604 users: Verify that your test system is cabled for non-RxDiversity. Please also consult the Rack Setup guide accessible through the Test Manager's help menu
  3. For A200/A300/A600 users: Verify that your SR5058 TCU's are turned on

UDM / UTS as possible cause:

Another reason for the test cases to fail, is due to UDM/UTS not passing the UE reported measurement events to the Test Manager. When that happens, the UE may have already handed over to the target cell, however Test Manager will interpret the absence of measurement reports as the Handover not taking place.

  1. Verify that the UDM/UTS installation is working properly by starting UDM manually Windows start-> All programs-> Universal DM V2-> Universal DM V2.exe
  2. If does not start properly, verify that UDM hardlock key (blue USB dongle) is connected and lit up
  3. Uninstall and re-install UDM if hardlock serial key is connected and operational, but UDM still does not start up properly

UE setup as possible cause:

  1. Verify that UE supports the RF bands tested
  2. Verify that UE is setup for dual mode operation (WCDMA + GSM) in case of WCDMA - GSM IRAT test cases
