What is the GSS6700?

Answer

The GSS6700 Multi-GNSS Simulator is designed to support a range of development, verification and integration tasks where un-encrypted L1 GNSS signals from one or more constellations need to be generated.
There are three levels of s/w available for the GSS6700; SimGEN, SimREPLAYplus and SimREPLAY, all of which install under a common .exe PosAPP (see FAQ12410 What is PosApp?) the variant which is enabled depends on the licence installed on the host PC.

A simple field upgrade (carried out by the customer) is available for the GSS6700 to support more constellations i.e. add GLONASS and or Galileo to a GPS only unit or upgrade to SimGEN from SimREPLAYplus or SimREPLAY.

A total of 36 channels are available; a maximum 12 per constellation (SBAS and QZSS use GPS channels). SBAS capability is delivered as standard with GPS and QZSS is available as a field upgrade.
