Spirent TestCenter: Why am I getting the error message "missing valid "0001_Packet_GEN_ANALYZER_BPK_A""when I hit apply using TestCenter Virtual (STCv)?

Answer
  • Possible causes listed below:
  1. Verify that the extension of the license file is lowercase.
    • If the extension is uppercase .LIC instead of .lic it may cause an error.
    • If this is indeed the issue, rename the original licenses extensions to lowercase and then delete/reinstall them and then stop/restart the virtual session.
    • Do not forget to reboot the Virtual ports to read the new feature license.
    • You can also manually install the feature license into the Virtual ports using the GUI Tools->License Management
  2. Verify the Virtual Port License matches with the Virtual Port Speed
    • If using Performance license, the port needs to be 10G
    • If using Functional license, the port needs to be 1G or 100M
    • It is not possible to use 1G or 100M with the Performance license.
  3. Server Stop, Server Start can also clear the issue.
    • activate, reboot did not clear the issue but server stop, server start did.
