Avalanche: Why do we get 'Failed to invoke SessionManagerLauncher' error when we use the new Avalanche API on Linux?

Environment/Versions
  • Avalanche
  • New API ( post 4.10)
  • SessionManager
  • Linux
Answer
  • When we require Avalanche package, sometimes we get a  'Failed to invoke SessionManagerLauncher'.
  • This is caused by the user not having root authorization, and as such not being able to create the session manager log folder.
  • Workaround is to change user to root and run the script.
  • If you need to use other ID run the script, you need to change Spirent log folder authorization to 777.
