iTest: How to overcome “browser zoom“ level issue while replying selenium testcases using Interent Explorer.

Sometimes we will get following error while replying selenium testcases using Interent Explorer.

DeclareExecutionIssue Error:Error attempting to open connection to external browser: org.openqa.selenium.remote.SessionNotFoundException: Unexpected error launching Internet Explorer. Browser zoom level was set to 125%. It should be set to 100% (WARNING: The server did not provide any stacktrace information) Command duration or timeout: 5.45 seconds Build info: version: 'unknown', revision: 'unknown', time: 'unknown' System info: os.name: 'Windows 7', os.arch: 'x86', os.version: '6.1', java.version: '1.7.0_17' Driver info: org.openqa.selenium.ie.InternetExplorerDriver
 

The problem is due to IE browser zoom level is more than 100%

Following settings will helpful to reslove this issue:

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

  2. On the bottom right of the Internet Explorer screen, click the arrow next to the Change Zoom Level button Picture of the Change Zoom Level button.
