iTest: Difference between the CLI Commands "Sequencer Start" and "Sequencer Run" for Spirent TestCenter CLI session?

Below are some basic differences between the two CLI commands:

Sequncer Start
Sequencer Run

  • Issues the commands to chassis to start the sequencer.
     
  • Immediately returns control to the user.
     
  • Puts the Sequencer in “PAUSE” state as it doesn’t run all the commands in Sequencer.

 

  • Issues the commands to chassis to start the sequencer and runs all the steps to end.
     
  • Blocks until the sequence run is finished.
     
  • Puts Sequencer in “IDLE” state as it executes all the commands in Sequencer.
