Avalanche: Is it possible to avoid the redirected request going through the proxy for the redirected flow?

Spirent Avalanche.

Answer

No. The settings under "Client->Profiles->Proxy Tab -> Enable Proxy Client" are global, so every line in the action list (or any redirects) will be sent to the proxy when this option is enabled.
