Spirent TestCenter: When there is FCoE Keep Alive(FKA) update from the DUT how does STC behave?

Answer
VN side sends the keepalives with the updated value rightaway.
Behavior:
After receiving the Advertisement with the updated timer , STC send the keep alive with the old timer value and then afterwards starts sending the keepalives with the new value. PFA the capture.
Note:
When the advertisement with the updated value is sent the timer for the earlier keep alive has already been started. So the immediate next keep alive that gets sent after the advertisement still has the original value. All the ones that get sent after that use the new value.
Assume a case where the FKA_ADV_PERIOD is set to 30 seconds. If that gets changed to 10 seconds after the timer has been running for 20 seconds the immediate next keep alive still gets sent after 30 seconds (in this case there is no way for us to go back in time and send the keep alive after 10 seconds) and the subsequent keepalives get sent after 10 seconds.
