Spirent TestCenter: Why the backup license server throws an error saying Can not find licenses file, when issuing server status command?
Environment/Versions
When you have a Primary and Backup License Server (Hot Standby) and issue the
server status
command on the Backup License Server, you get an error saying:
lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2014 Flexera Software LLC. All Rights Reserved.
Flexible License Manager status on Fri 4/24/2020 14:000
Error getting status: Cannot find license file. (-1,359:2 "No such file or directory")
Answer
Looks like the Server is throwing this error message just because there is NO licenses listed on the backup, the licenses are installed as requested, however, looks like the backup's server normal behavior is to be on this state (not listing the licenses) until the Primary License Server is unable to issue licenses, see next section.
