Spirent TestCenter: How can I configure 802.11 using DHCP on Spirent Emulated Devices?

Environment/Versions
  • Spirent TestCenter.
  • WiFi.
  • DHCP emulated clients.
Answer
  • Open Spirent TestCenter Application.
  • Connect to a chassis and reserve some WiFi ports.
  • Enable IEEE 802.11 Client Emulation and DHCP at the technologies menu.
  • Configure some emulated devices as 802.11 and DHCP clients.
 
  • Configure the client profile, matching your AP parameters.
  • At DHCP tab, enable Routers Option [3] under Options Request List and Enable Router Option checkbox
 
  • Associate your WiFi devices with the Access Point.
  • Start DHCP on the devices.
  • Devices should request and obtain an IP address from the AP.
  • If you start ARP from Spirent devices they should resolve the AP MAC address.
