Drop frames could be an indication of performance issues on the network, and usually Spirent TestCenter just shows what it is currently receiving (Refers to
FAQ10986
Spirent TestCenter: How does Spirent TestCenter determine Dropped or Lost, In Order, Duplicate, Reordered, and Late Frames or Packets in Results Browser?.
However, if the drops are not expected at all on STC side, you can try few things:
Defective cable
Try swapping the cable from the interface showing unexpected drops with another one that is working and see if the drops follows the cable, if so, replace the cable and validate the drops are gone.
Defective Transceiver
Try swapping the transceiver from the interface showing unexpected drops with another one that is working and see if the drops follows the cable, if so, replace the cable and validate the drops are gone.
