iTest: How to create customize tbml commands in iTest?

Objective/Summary

How to achieve specific device configuration details from topology file.

Procedure

There are a very few TBML commands are available by default. You can create your TBML commands as your need.

To create customized TBML commands you need to get the exact or similar value from XPATH response of the topology file and you can use this by a global procedure call. In a nut shell by a global procedure call and fetching the desired value from XAPTH response of topology file we can do it.

I have demonstrated here a simple example to fetch the desired session names of a device by using the device name in the attached test case(s) and topology file.

NOTE: Fetching of session names related to a device is implemented with iTest 4.3 onwards.

e.g. tbml sessionList -id resource_0
