Spirent TestCenter: How to Import BGP routes into STC.

This article will show how to import BGP routes into Spirent TestCenter.

Procedure

This is a 2-part procedure. First, must create a BGP device then import the routes into the device.

Create a BGP device:

Step 1). Use Add device wizard to create a BGP device. Do not select Generate Routes since the BGP routes will be imported.

Step 2). Configure BGP device. Set either iBGP or eBGP.

Import the BGP routes:

Step 1). Launch BGP Route Table Import Wizard.

Step 2). Select BGP device.

Step 3). Browse to the import text file.

Step 4). Select Route Type (default is Cisco Version 1).

Step 5). Set the Max Route Blocks, Max Routes per Block, and Max Imported Routes. Max value is 5M.

Step 6). Click Apply to finish the import.

Step 7). Go to Edit Routes table to confirm the import.

Step 8). Check for any Invalid Entries. Click on ellipsis button in the Parsing Status box to view any Invalid entries for reasons.

Step 9). The BGP router with imported routes is now ready for testing.
