Announcing Spirent Landslide 23.1 Release

Landslide Release:

ATSSS


Wi-Fi will continue to augment New Radio (NR) access in 5G Networks. Seamless interworking between NR and Wi-Fi is essential. ATSSS (Access Traffic Steering, Switching & Splitting) is a 3GPP R16 capability that enables granular traffic management across these multiple accessess as illustrated in the figure below.

Landslide 23.1 introducess support for ATSSS. AMF Nodal is enhanced to support traffic switching and steering, which is currently supported with N3IWF(Non 3GPP Interworking Function).

  








Support for High Performance XXL test servers for GCP (Google Cloud Platform) is available with Landslide 23.1.

On the L5AP front, several test cases for CU(SA) testing have been automated. These can be used to demonstrate concept to customers and engage them. More tests have also been added to the L5AP Security Package.

The TAS can now be depoloyed as a container.

Key New Features

ATSSS

  • Support for Access Traffic Steering & Switching has been added to AMF Nodal. This is currently supported with N3IWF for Wi-Fi access.

GCP XXL HP vTS

  • XXL size test server with high performance is now available for GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

L5AP ORAN CU Performance & Capacity Testing Package

  • Several CU(SA) test cases have been automated, along the lines of the test cases in the 5G Core and Security L5AP test packages.

Containerized TAS

  • TAS can now be deployed as a container. The following environments are supported: Docker, Minikube, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS.
