O-RAN Release: 24.2

ORAN 24.2 continues to build on our ORAN testing capabilities across all the network functions and configurations

This release aims to support: Carriers, SI, and OEMs.
 
Release 24.2
O-CU gNB CU NSA Nodal / gNB CU Node
  • This feature enables gNB-CU Initiated Partial Reset for EN-DC.
  • Is a part of the NG reset procedure prescribed by 3GPP R15. gNB CU request AMF to release resources of specified UE sessions to clean up NG node failure.
  • Supports UE Context Modification DRX cycle (DRX inactivity timer) and enhances O-CU wraparound testing. 

 
O-DU
  • Provides multiple UE/RU Emulator (Simnovus UEsim and RUsim) Support
  • This feature allows the same O-DU test line to host up to 16 RU or UE emulators.
  • Is applicable to Landslide C100 platform.
  • Enhances ORAN Solution vertical scalability cost-effectively. Large number of UEs can be emulated for high-capacity testing of an E2E, DU or DU+CU test line.
RIC gNB CU Node - E1 Interface to CU Node-SA Mode
  • This feature enables E1 interface testing towards CU, complementary to the enhancement of RIC testing.
IE Validation - Add support for E2 interface
  • The feature is a part of the RIC solution, provides IE validation for E2 interface testing towards the RIC SUT.
IE Validation - Add support for A1 interface
  • The feature is a part of the RIC solution, provides IE validation for A1 interface testing towards the RIC SUT.
E2E E2 RC - Support Additional Event Trigger Styles
  • The feature enhances RIC testing capabilities, gives user more flexibility in composing test cases.
E2 interface - Implementation of remaining Event Trigger Style of Report Service for CCC Service Model.
  • Provides further enhancement to RIC E2 testing capabilities.
E2 Interface - Network Interface (NI):  Support additional services
  • Provides further enhancement to RIC E2 testing capabilities.
