What is the difference between Stateful, Stateless and RAW threats in the Avalanche attack list?

Answer

Stateful threats are connection oriented, run over TCP, and require a response.

Stateless threats are not connection oriented, run over UDP typically, and do not require a response.

RAW threats are sent at the lower layers of the OSI stack and are simply packets blasted on the wire. RAW threats do not adhere to all loadspecs.  Only the SimUser, SimUser/second, SimUser/hour load specs are adhered to. Other load specs blast the traffic as quickly as possible onto the wire.
