By default, UE could NOT display Broadcast SMS. We need QXDM to change some NV items to make device display Broadcast SMS.
Following are detail procedures:
1. Open QXDM. Change NV item 00372 Broadcast SMS Service Table Size to 1.
2. Change NV item 00373 Broadcast SMS Service Table as below:
a) make sure "active_service" and "selected" is made to True.
b) Set priority as needed: priority=0 means Normal, priority=3 means Emergency.
3. Change NV item 00374 Broadcast SMS Configuration to 2.
Note: This setting allows UE enable Broadcast SMS feature.
4. Change NV item 00375 Broadcast SMS User Preference to 1.
Note: This setting allows UE to receive only broadcast messages defined in the service table.
5. THIS IS IMPORTANT: Power circle UE to make these settings effective.
