Positioning Application: What is the format of the Bulk Logging Data binary log files, so that I may decode them?

  • There is a section dedicated to the bulk logging output files in the SimGEN user manual (DGP00686AAA).
  • A description of the binary file structure is also included for those users interested in decoding those files for themselves
  • Spirent do also provide a utility for decoding the binary bulk logging files
    • It can be found in the PosApp directory (C:\Program Files\Spirent Communications\Positioning Application\)
    • It is called "Binary_To_Ascii_File_Conversion_Utility.exe"
